Who makes the best-looking concept car?

When good looks and elegance are the most important criteria for judging a car, then there can be no more prestigious and stylish event than the Concorso d'Eleganza on the grounds of the Villa d'Este on Lake Como, Italy. Each year, collectors from around the world present their exclusive cars here to a specialist jury and the public.

The organizers have invited GM Europe Design to enter two cars into this year's event (April 20 - 22, 2007): the futuristic sports car prototype Saab Aero X and the Opel GTC Coupé, which first caught the public's eye in Geneva a few weeks ago.Bryan Nesbitt, Executive Director GM Europe Design, will present the Opel: "I'm very proud that the Opel GTC Coupé concept has been invited to the prestigious Concorso. It truly is an honor to represent our design team here."

Anthony Lo, GME Director of Advanced Design, will be driving the Saab: "Although we've already won many prizes with the Aero X, taking part in the Concorso d'Eleganza at the Villa d'Este is a very special feeling."In 2002, the event returned to its roots. Since then, the latest driveable concept cars are again participating alongside the classic vehicles - just as planned in the event's original mandate in 1929. Over the past years, the "Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este Design Award", which is assigned by the public, has been won by the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, Peugeot 907 Coupé and Pininfarina Rosso Spider.
